A special session at AiML 2016 will be dedicated to Alexander Chagrov (May 2, 1957 – February 6, 2016), a prominent modal logician who contributed to many areas of our discipline. The comprehensive monograph "Modal Logic" by A. Chagrov and M. Zakharyaschev (1997) is still being used as both a handbook and a textbook in mathematical modal logic.
The special session will include an overview of Alexander Chagrov's work, an invited talk by Valentin Goranko, as well as contributed talks by Philippe Balbiani, Alex Citkin and Marcus Kracht.
